Formed in 1987 Ythan CC is a cycling club based in Ellon in the North East of Scotland just North of Aberdeen (Ythan is pronounced as in Python). The club has a diverse cycling membership, with riders taking part in Road racing, time trials, sportives, cyclocross, mountain biking and triathlon events, as well as those who prefer to tour or focus on non-competitive social rides. The club is a BC Go-Ride accredited club which means we are part of British Cycling's youth development programme. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides an excellent platform to grow confidence and improve bike handling skills. Our youth membership are collectively referred to as the Ythan QL (Quines & Loons). Ythan are proud to have athletes who competed at the 2012 London Paralympics as members and are an inspiration to us all.
Some of our regular activities include:
. Tuesday night time trials (Summer) . Saturday morning Youth squad training . Sunday morning club run . Sunday morning road race team training
