Sleaford Whls CC
Go-Ride is British Cycling's development programme for young people. The programme provides a fun and safe way to introduce young riders to the world of cycle sport and provides a platform to improve bike handling skills. SWCC Go-Ride sessions are delivered by British Cycling qualified coaches, who have attended courses on child protection and equality. All coaches hold current first aid certificates. The club also has a club welfare officer, who has attended a child protection course. All Go-Ride Clubs have a commitment to ongoing training for their volunteers, coaches and officials, to have a sound structure, to be fair and equitable and to undertake training to support British Cycling's policies and guidelines for safeguarding and child protection, equality and best practice.
Go-Ride Sessions take place at Sleaford Rugby Club on Tuesdays starting at 6.30 pm and finishing at 7.30 pm (sessions finish at 8.00pm in the summer term for the older children). There is no charge for the first three sessions but from the fourth session a small fee of £2.00 is charged per session for members of Sleaford Wheelers and £3.00 per session for non-members.
