Saxon Crown
We are Lewisham's competitive swimming Club. We were established in 1975, as a result of a merger of three clubs in the area, to promote and support swimming as a sport in the London Borough of Lewisham. Past and present club members have progressed from learning to swim within the Club to national, regional and county champions and competitors. The Club is also proud to have trained a number of swimmers who have represented the U.K. and held British records, including current European masters and World disability champion swimmers.
The Club believes in being as wide-ranging and inclusive as possible. We have over 400 members, ranging from Learn to Swim through to top competitive squads competing at regional and national level. We also have a thriving Masters squads, and also offer the opportunity for non-competitive swimmers to train with us in our Club squads. We are one of the few clubs that has dedicated squads and groups for disabled swimmers (Tiger Sharks) that are fully integrated within the Club structure.
