Preston Hockey Club
Preston Hockey Club was established in 1903 and has since remained one of the North's most prominent clubs. With six Men's, three Ladies and two Junior teams playing every Saturday plus a Mixed Team & Cup Teams on Sunday's & a great Summer League, the club offers competitive and social hockey for all ages, abilities and sex. The Mens' 1st XI play have now regained National League status for the 2015-16 season. With every side in the club strengthening its league standing year after year, the club's aim to become the strongest and most successful in the North. With Men's 1st XI to 6th XI all competing regularly in hockey leagues, aspiring players can climb the ranks and enjoy competitive hockey week in week out.
The Ladies Hockey teams are also very established with 1st XI in the North Womens Division 1, 2nd Team & 3rd Team in the Lancashire Central Womens Leagues. Integral to the sustained success of the club is our Junior player development, and particular emphasis and resources are placed on high-quality coaching and the selection of young players in the senior teams. The bulk of the current 1st and 2nd XI Men's teams have graduated from the City of Preston Junior Hockey Club West Cliff Hockey Academy, with many achieving county, regional and international honours.
Recent England International players from Preston Juniors include Ian & Martin Scanlon, Tom & Mark Galloway, Richard Flint & James Sutcliffe.
