London Road Club
In 2006 a bunch of 17 of us rode across France to raise funds for charity and the Cycle to Cannes was born. It is now a hugely sought after event. A second route was devised last year and the fundraising capability doubled. The group stayed together and London Road Club was formed. The club members are now spread out over greater London and the South East. We therefore tend to train in our own areas. This includes North Lonodn, the Surrey Hills, the South Downs and Kent However, there is the annual build up to Cycle to Cannes (MIPIM) and some of our riders still join the Regents Park Wednesday morning bunch. Over the years the Zoo Gates on the North side of the park have been the London members rendezvous. Every year we organise a trip to Mallorca for early season training, usually to prepare for the Cycle To Cannes ride.
