Huddersfield Star Wheelers
Huddersfield Star Wheelers were first formed in 1953, and at over 350 members we are one of the largest cycling clubs in Yorkshire. We are committed to providing access to a wide range of cycling activities within our community for all age groups and abilities. The club aims to be as inclusive as possible and offers rides and support for all members and anyone thinking of becoming a member.
Huddersfield Star Wheelers organise regular road club rides on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, mountain bike rides on Saturdays and go ride cycling on Saturday. We also offer circuit training at the Hammerstones track in Elland during the summer. We know provide roller training at Dalton school on Tuesdays during the winter, plus cross training at Newsome High School on Wednesdays. The club organises events including two road races, time trials, a hill climb, two cyclo-cross races and a youth mountain bike race.
Huddersfield Star Wheelers are affiliated with both British Cycling and the Cyclist' Touring Club. We have a large Go Ride section and are proud to have achieved Sport England's Clubmark status. We will also be linking up with Cycle Yorkshire as part of our commitment to the legacy of the Tour de France.
