Elmbridge Canoe Club
While Elmbridge canoe club is one of the most successful competitive racing clubs in the UK, we also welcome paddlers of all ages and abilities. Elmbridge Canoe Club was established in 1984 and officially opened in 1986. It's primary goal was to be the best canoe club in the country and then the world. It has fulfilled this by producing paddlers for every Olympics since Seoul in 1988, and numerous Junior and Senior World champions in both Sprint and Marathon disciplines.
Moreover it has also provided people of all ages with the chance to learn to paddle and enjoy the river in all its glory. We are a volunteer led, family club, and whilst we continue to be performance based we have a growing community of "for fun" paddlers and recreational activities from touring to stand up paddle boards. We work with the local authorities, local schools, British Canoeing and Sport England to provide the best facilities and coaching to enable the next generation to have fun, keep healthy or race for their country.
