East Hanningfield Cricket Club
East Hanningfield Cricket Club was established over 125 years ago. Great Burstead were established over 75 years ago. With both clubs having some difficulty in attracting new players they agreed to join together in 2011. They currently play in the village of East Hanningfield, near Chelmsford, Essex. In 2013, having obtained funding from Sport England and other sponsors, we commenced building a brand new pavillion. This was completed for the start of the 2014 season.
We now have a superb new club house and changing rooms - arguably one of the best in Essex which was officially opened by Alastair Cook, England Cricket Captain, on 2nd April 2016. We run 2 Saturday sides playing in the T. Rippon league and 1 Sunday side which plays friendly matches. We have, in the last 2 years, entertained sides from Essex CCC 2xi and London County CC and have a ground that is the envy of many a club. We are always looking for new members and anyone interested in joining us can contact
